Unsere Geschichte
The name of Villemaurine makes its appearance in the history in the VII th century. At that time, the Moors go raise up to saint Emilion by settling their camp in a place that we baptize at first “ Moorish City „, then in time, Villemaurine. It is in the VIIIth century when the monk Emilion settles down in the region and which will give its name to the village of the same name. It will succeed then some owners until 2005, year in the course of which the Onclin family enters the history books in his turn of Villemaurine.
In 2007, Justin Onclin, enthusiast of wine and vine growing, expert thanks to its inheritance and its trader’s job, produces its first vintage wine of Chateau Villemaurine. With the will to establish a family heritage and to develop his own wines, he quickly becomes aware of the wealth and the extraordinary potential of Chateau Villemaurine. To you make them discover, he opens his doors to the visitors who will not miss to discover this magic place of history and oenological quality.

We did the from Vine to Wine tour and it was a great experience. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, and was very good at answering questions. The content of the tour was interesting, with just the right amount of information. The highlight is definitely the tasting session at the end overlooking the vineyard.

We booked this tour and wine tasting as we had arranged a day trip to St Emilion from Bordeaux. We enjoyed an intimate and informative tour followed by wine tasting. The experience was great and we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting St Emilion. The Chateau is within a 5 minute walk from the town of At Emilion. Such a great day!

Wonderful tour and an excellent guide. We did the English speaking tour and had such a wonderful time. The trip to the quarry where the wine is stored and the terrace with views over the vineyard were our personal highlights. I would highly recommend
We zijn uitstekend ontvangen door een dame wiens naam ik jammer genoeg vergeten ben. We kregen een interessante en persoonlijke rondleiding en degustatie van 1,5u. Op al onze vragen werd geantwoord en de dame pauzeerde ook af en toe zodat we waar nodig konden vertalen voor onze kinderen. De onderaardse kelders zijn natuurlijk het hoogtepunt van het bezoek en geven een grote meerwaarde tegenover andere châteaux in Saint-Emilion. Het bezoek is zijn geld meer dan waard en de wijn is, zoals men mag verwachten, excellent.

Très bon moment passé lors de la visite privilège avec Karine, notre guide. Une visite et des explications de qualité. Les cavernes souterraines sont très belles, un meilleur éclairage les mettraient encore davantage en valeur. Pour finir, Karine a su nous mettre a l\'aise lors de la dégustation. Attentive et a l\'écoute de notre ressenti, elle a réussi à me réconcilier avec le vin rouge grâce a son discours de passionnée par la vigne et le vin.
