In una cornice verde che domina Saint-Emilion, il castello Saint-Georges risalente al XIII secolo mantiene un passato feudale con le sue quattro torri angolari. Nel diciottesimo secolo, fu abbellito con uno stile neoclassico di ispirazione vittoriana, noto anche grazie al Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. Dal 1891, il vigneto di 45 ettari appartiene alla famiglia Desbois. Nel 2013, Jean-Philippe Janoueix si è unito alla famiglia Desbois come comproprietario.

La visite du jardin était superbe, et a beaucoup apporté à l’expérience de dégustation après, très original. Le château est magnifique, ainsi que tout le reste de la propriété et la vue. Guide très agréable et à l’écoute, nous n’y connaissions pas grand chose en vin en arrivant, mais bien plus en sortant.

Our visit to Chateau Saint-Georges was lovely and the wine was beautiful.
This was truly a great experience. The history, the growing of the grapes, the production of wine and the combinations of grapes used to produce the final product was very well explained. I usually buy wine that in the supermarket or online but I will definitely be purchasing more bottles directly from the Chateau!
The tour was perfect.
the tour guide did not know we were coming, seems there was a miscommunication/technical error between winetourbooking.com and the winery.
Excellent tour by Christina. She was thorough and knowledgeable and taught us a lot about Bordeaux wines.
Our host was amazing!!! Very personalised tour with lots of detail. We loved it. Only comment would be that we had no idea where to meet the host and were wondering around the property for a while.
